I visited the Bombay Leprosy Project, BLP, which has been supported by the town of Dinslaken for three years. Every day we found new leprosy cases in the slums and among patients who approached  leprosy contact points at certain hospitals, not only adults but also young children.

These patients are in a pitiful social situation.

Our second stop in India was the Bombay Leprosy Project (BLP). This project is primarily our most important project in Dinslaken.

Every year I visit the Bombay Leprosy Project (BLP) which is under the direction of Dr. Vivek Pai, one of the most competent leprologists in India. The original centre is located in the slums where leprosy people have easy access. Up to now, the BLP was a ramshackle building and the tarp covering its entrance was destroyed in a storm.
